LA JOLLA ELEMENTARY PTO
BE PART OF A YEAR FULL OF FUN!
THANK YOU TO OUR PARENT VOLUNTEERS
The success of the PTO depends on our parent volunteers who lead, organize and staff our events.

KINDERGARTEN BBQ
Each year, the PTO hosts a Kindergarten barbecue as an informal time to acquaint new Kindergarten students and parents to our school. The PTO provides hot dogs and hamburgers and incoming parents bring side dishes and desserts to share. Students and parents meet the principal and incoming Kindergarten students get to play in their playground and become familiar with the surroundings before their first big day!

FAMILY PICNIC
This is a modified PTO event, formally known as “Family Picnic”. There will be 3 vendors from our very own OAM, DJ Danny will be back with games and fun! It is a wonderful way to catch up with old friends and meet new ones. There are refreshments, e.g., popcorn, and glow in the dark necklaces for sale available through the 5th grade committee.

FAMILY SCIENCE NIGHT
We turn our campus into a science lab! Students and parents walk from station to station conducting scientific experiments. Food and refreshments will be provided by the 5th grade committee.

STUDENT DIRECTORY
The student directory supports “community building” at LJES. Our school families elect to include their home and email addresses, phone numbers, and parents’ names. The directory is helpful in arranging play-dates, parent get-togethers, and the other “outside of school” activities so important to building a strong LJES community. The directory is published by the LJES PTO and distributed to all families free of charge. It is the parents’ responsibility to ensure that the PTO has received their consent to be included, and that the information provided is accurate. The La Jolla Elementary School Directory and individual class rosters are intended for LJES student and family use only. Use of the Directory and/or individual Class Rosters for any business purposes (including, but not limited to, sale, solicitation, promotion, market research, surveying, etc.) is strictly prohibited.
